Throwing Muses played a pivotal role in the college rock era by blending post-punk, folk, and country influences. Kristin Hersh's dynamic vocals and Tanya Donelly's pop-infused guitar defined an era of songwriting.

Donelly left the group, joining Kim Deal in the Breeders and later formed Belly. In addition to her continued success with Muses' new lineup, Hersh had a successful solo career.

Throwing Muses' 1991 album, "The Real Ramona," marked a polished yet sharp evolution, reaching the UK Albums Chart and earning success with "Counting Backwards." Despite Donelly's departure, her impact continued with Belly's international chart success in the mid-'90s.

University is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band Throwing Muses, released in 1995. It contains the single "Bright Yellow Gun", the band's first national hit. The album peaked at No. 10 on the UK Albums Chart; it peaked at No. 10 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart.

This lovely '95 FOTL limited print commemorated the aforementioned hit single on University.
